In the future,car will have the automated is the first system in the car that can do the opposite as the driver commands. Safety system like air bag come together. Cradually comfort systems like power seats also enter the car.

Air Bag

Air bags supplement the protection provided by safety belts by protecting the head and chest in moderate to severe front-end collisions. If a vehicle collides with a solid object, the occupants are thrown forward against the dashboard, windshield, and protruding objects, particularly the steering wheel. In the event of a moderate to severe front-end collision, tough nylon bags, similar to large balloons, inflate in a fraction of a second so that the driver and passenger are cushioned as they are thrown forward. As a result, the air bag absorbs the energy of the forward motion of the occupants with little or no injury to them.

Each air bag module contains an inflator, an igniter, and the folded air bag. When electrical current flows through the igniter, it produces heat, which ignites the generant material within the inflator. This solid generant burns in an enclosed chamber to produce harmless nitrogen gas. This gas is cooled and filtered prior to inflating the air bag.

The system performs three main functions:

1.         Detects an impact.

2.         Provides a ground to the air bags for deployment.

3.         Monitors system readiness.

Power Seats

Power seats are electrically adjustable seats that can be designed to move in several ways. A six-way power seat includes up, down, forward, back, tilt forward, and tilt rearward seat movement. Four-way systems do not provide tilt adjustments. In addition, some power seats have a lumbar adjustment that uses a small air pump to inflate a bag or bags on the lower back of the seat to serve as a pillow. Three reversible permanent-magnet motors in one housing provide the various seat movements. The motors are coupled to transmission gear-boxes that change rotating motion from the motor into linear motion for the seats.

Power seat switches located on the seat or door panel control current flow to the seat motors. Depending on the switch position and the direction of current to the armature, the appropriate motor will either revolve clock-wise of counterclockwise to produce the desired seat movement.

Some power seats have a memor feature that will return the seat to a previously programmed position. The best seat position is selected using the manual adjustment adjustment buttons and then stored in the memory by pushing the memory button.

In the near future, comfort systems like cruise control that considers external factors like weather, road marks and traffic around us and GPS will enter the car.

电动(调整)座椅

电动座椅采用电控的方式使座椅向多个方向移动。一个六向的电动座椅可以向上、下、前、后、前倾和后倾六个方向移动。四向的系统不能做倾斜的调整。此外,还有一些电动座椅具有腰部位置和调整功能,即在椅背的下部有空气泵充气的袋子,用以像枕头一样的调整腰部位置。三个永磁电动机为座椅提供不同方向的移动。电动机与变速齿轮箱相连,使电动机的旋转运动转化为座椅的直线运动。

电动座椅的开关安装在座椅或车门面板上,用以控制座椅电动机。根据开关的位置与流入电枢时电流的方向,电动机开始顺时针或逆时针旋转从而使座椅根据需要进行调整。

一些电动座椅具有记忆功能,可使座椅调整到预先设置的位置。座椅位置先经由手动调整到最佳,然后按下记忆按钮将座椅位置进行存储。

不久的将来,像巡航控制系统和全球定位系统等舒适系统将会应用于汽车,巡航控制系统考虑外部的因素,诸如天气、路况以及我们周围的交通状况等。
